Updating the Look of Windmill Words

Have you heard?  Pantone’s 2012 Color of the Year is…(drumroll, please)…

Tangerine Tango

I’m doing a little freshening-up here at Windmill Words, and a squirt of tangerine seemed like just the thing.

I’m also in the process of adding a bit of tangerine zest to the sister site of Windmill Words, A Trip to Holland.  Feel free to jump on over there to view the changes as they progress.  (I can’t promise that everything is perfect, yet.)  Here’s a sample:

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the colorful changes here at Windmill Words.

If you would like to give your own site a fresh new look for 2012, please contact me.  I’m new to the world of blog design, and as I gain experience, you can benefit from my current low rates.   Need some inspiration?  Take a look at some of the Studio Press theme demos that I have experience customizing.

Graphic Elements for Blogs

As the lead writer at The CSI Project, one of the things I do is create a unique title graphic to introduce each of their weekly themes.  This graphic almost always features pictures of projects I’ve found online that go along with the theme and offer inspiration to the challenge participants.  (I always include a link to the site where the inspiration photos came from, so that readers can click over for additional details on the featured projects.)  It’s a lot of fun to create fun, fresh designs to showcase each week’s challenge theme.  Take a look a some of my most recent designs:
